Meet Sam
Samantha is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist who specializes in disordered eating and eating disorder recovery in those of all ages. She also enjoys working with families to make meal times less challenging.
Samantha began her journey as a Registered Dietitian as an outpatient dietitian working at the leading children’s hospital in Florida. In this role, she gained specialized training in Motivational Interviewing and has achieved expert level competency.
Samantha has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders and served as a Lead Registered Dietitian in the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. She practices under a weight-neutral lens and believes that health can be achieved at any body size.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys playing tennis, exploring new restaurants in Tampa Bay, and playing video games with friends.
Education and Experience
Achieved her undergraduate degree in Dietetics at the University of Florida and Master’s degree in Nutritional Science from Arizona State University.
Achieved Expert Level in Motivational Interviewing as recognized by the Institute for Individual and Organizational Change
Holds the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credential, requiring over 2,500 hours of supervised practice related to eating disorder care.
Facilitates a Friends and Family eating disorder support group with the National Alliance for Eating Disorders.
Serves as the Research Chair for International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals Tampa Chapter
Published author of peer-reviewed research in nutrition, with a primary focus on child and adolescent health.
